THE NEW YORK STATE PRESENTERS NETWORK is a presenter-driven organization developed to broaden access to artists, increase statewide touring and presenting, serve as a catalyst to develop performance opportunities for New York State based performing artists, and facilitate block booking and collaboration among presenters throughout the state. An advisory committee consisting of one representative from each region of New York State has been created to develop programs that will reach the aforementioned goals.
As it has evolved, the Network has addressed issues such as developing the permanent organizational structure to include membership eligibility, dues structure, governing structure; identifying specific challenges faced by presenters and developing solutions; creating a plan to develop and fund a New York State Performing Artist roster; developing programs that will benefit NY State presenters and identify possible funding sources.
The Network has hosted several one-day meetings both in New York City and upstate New York; launched a five-day 'fact-finding' tour to five regions of the state to facilitate presenter-to-presenter and presenter-to-artist communication and the summer symposiums that included panel discussions and a performing arts showcase. The Network has also coordinated a learning track of workshops for two years at the annual NYS ARTS Arts Summit. In 2011, the Network created the Presenter/Artist Partnership Project which resulted in the funding of a touring roster of New York State based artists touring to communities across the state participating in performances and related audience development activities.

Ellen Kodadek, Flushing Council on Culture
James Lemons, Lake Placid Center for the Arts
Michelle Reiser-Memmer, Hamilton College
